Lorsque j'ai découvert SU! par l'entremise de leurs publicités dans les magazines de scrapbook américains, je suis allée voir leur site Web par curiosité et à l'époque, la compagnie ne publiait sur son site que les images des jeux du minicatalogue (même pas la brochure complète). Coup de foudre immédiat en ouvrant Paris in the Spring! Tellement que j'ai contacté la compagnie pour trouver une démonstratrice afin de pouvoir l'acheter. La démonstratrice la plus proche était à Ottawa (avant que SU! n'arrive au Québec), alors j'avais fait livrer la commande à mon bureau et j'avais convaincu une de mes collègues d'apporter la boîte à notre retraite de bureau organisée à Toronto. Ahh, ce qu'on fait pour se procurer des étampes que l'on veut vraiment...
Au fil des années, j'ai commencé à découvrir mon style personnel et à mieux cerner mes achats. Ironiquement, ce jeu demeure quand même l'un de mes préférés et son style me plaît toujours. Quand Sassy & Seasonal, un jeu de Noël dans le même style (visiblement dessiné par la même artiste) est sorti quelques années plus tard, je me suis garochée dessus, alors je peux dire que mon goût pour les images de style mignonnes et rétro n'a pas changé.
Mes capacités en tant qu'étampeuse, par contre... Ça, c'est une autre histoire! Je laisse les images parler d'elles-mêmes...
I still remember the first time I saw this stamp set. I had just discovered Stampin' Up! through an ad in the Creating Keepsakes magazine and I went to their Website to see what they had to offer and where their stamps were sold. Back then, they only used to publish the images sold in the current minicatalogue (no catalogue or minicatalogue PDF, just black and white images). It was love at first sight when the Paris in the Spring pop up box opened up in front of me! I thought that Parisian woman on her Vespa and that stylized Eiffel towers were SOOO cute! I found the nearest demo, which was in Ottawa since SU! hadn't entered the Quebec market. I was teleworking for an office located there back then, so I had the order shipped to the office and I bribed one of my then-coworker to bring the box along with her to our corporate retreat held in Toronto. A lot of logistics, but oh, the things you will do for Throughout the years, I have found my personal style (detail-oriented) and have managed to shop more wisely. Ironically, Paris in the Spring still remains on my current list of favorites and its style still corresponds to what I tend to shop for in stamps - cutesy, whimsical images with a retro appeal. When Sassy & Seasonal (a set that is obviously from the same drawing artist) later came out, I just had to have it! My tastes might not have changed all that much, but my stamping abilities, though... Well, why don't you see for yourselves... Maintenant / Now: love stamps!
CONSEIL : Pour donner du renouveau à vos anciennes étampes, conjuguez-les avec de nouveaux papiers ou de nos accessoires afin de changer le look et de faire changement!
TIP: For a fresh spin on old stamps, pair them with some new paper and accessories to achieve a new look and feel excited about using those stamps again!

BRAVO pour cette belle carte (la 2è! Hihihi!) (malgré que j'en ai fait une semblable à ta première aussi, quand j'ai commencé! Ha!)
Ton image centrale est si bien entourée, ça m'épate! Les perles, les coins orangés avec les boucles. Et que dire de l'intérieur!!! En fait, c'est ton image principale que je trouve très belle parce que bien coloriée, et ton enveloppe!

Oh my gosh Cindy!!!! How you're style has changed!!!! WOW what a difference between the two cards!!!! I am LOVIN that card and wish that I hadn't parted with that set now!!!!

How fun!! Love your Paris in the Spring card, and very fun to see the before and now card! You've definitely mastered details and accessories now! I still have this set too, could never part with it. Maybe I better dust mine off again...
