Encre, papier, ciseaux: Christmas Trimmings

Inspiration: Little red Wagon #473 + Freshly Made #368

I had put the Christmas in the Making stamp set aside to use on something this season and when I found the Evergreen Fir specialty papers, I thought they would look great with the set. The Freshly Made sketch was perfect inspiration and I knew I wanted plaid paper to go with this, so I pulled out the Christmas stack from Tim Holtz for Idea-ology. The image was colored with alcohol markers and I added glitter gloss on the black bow to make it sparkly.

I was looking at holiday sets to find a French sentiment and the "Christmas joy" banner from Stitched with Cheer was perfect, but I didn't want to hide my colored image too much, so I embossed it with red glitter powder on vellum. The plaid rectangle seemed a little bare to me, so I added gold glitter paste with a zig zag stencil and a couple of red pearls. The left rectangle was embelilshed with red tinsel trim.
