I had those red glittered gift boxes that date back to the very short time that we've had Target in Canada, quite a while ago. It was the perfect size for my niece's gift, but I wanted to zhuzh it up a bit, so I used the Holly days collection from Simple Stories again. I couldn't find large ribbon that matched, so since i was working with narrower ribbons, I decided to use two colours to add visual weight.
I tied a tag from the cut-apart sheet. Initially, it was all pink, but I had a tag topper leftover from fussy cutting an image for another project, so I glued the teal topper on it and added a little glitter strip sticker, plus a little holly leave from the sticker book. I added a puffy sticker to the gift and a few embellishments.
The box looked good, if maybe a little plain at the bottom, and then I spotted the leftover piece I had from the Page Pieces set. It was the large Holly jolly sentiment, which would have to be used on a scrapbook page given how bit it is, but i realized it would fit very nicely on the box, and it was just the right width to fit between the ribbons and the edge. I popped it up with dimensional adhesive, added two red sparkly pompoms to each side, and a little embellishment in matching colour on all letters.
Cute packaging and finishing up supplies - win-win!
