Inspiration: Hand Stamped Sentiments #443 + Color Throwdown #803
I drew inspiration from the sunny color combo to use the Postage Collage Beach Days stencils and create some cute summery postage stamps. Once the designs were all inked and die-cut, I cut them apart so that they could be used on more than one card. I paired the French fries and the seagull on this card, and I die-cut a third postage stamp out of yellow patterned paper to add my sentiment on. I found this postage sentiment in an old Cat's Pajamas stamp set called Sending You.
I used the Postage Collage Beach Days stamp set to add a few seal images on the card base. I did not want to stamp the whole background for fear that it would be too busy, but adding a few circles in opposite corners added a bit of interest. I went through my little container of scraps organized by colours and pulled papers that matched my ink to create the blocks from the sketch. I used various rectangle dies to have stitching around my shapes, and I matted the pink rectangle with gold paper for added interest.
For embellishing, I tied navy hemp twine from Lawn Fawn around the bottom of the card, and added a yellow puffy sticker and two rhinestones. On the envelope, I used some of that yellow paper to create the address block, and then I found some leftover stenciled stamps from a previous project, that were done in Melon Mambo and therefore matched my current card. I stamped the anchor circle image in navy in the middle, cut a smaller stamp and added those to my envelope to match the card.
