Inspiration: March 2024 Page Maps sketch
I decided my next layout would combine the pictures taken in line and riding Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid and the Simple Vintage Vintage Seas collection from Simple Stories. I had multiple pictures, so I picked a two-page layout sketch and I particularly liked that the sketch had a large circle on the left page, perfect to use the porthole chipboard frame. The title was included in this circle on the sketch, but I used mine to add one more picture and I glued my title around the porthole instead, also filling the space out a little more, as I was initially finding the pages a little bare.
Most of what you see on those pages comes from the collection. I did add white rickrack, that I sewed in place with my sewing machine, braided burlap trim, a wooden arrow and some epoxy hardware embellishments. To add interest, I matted the centre picture on the right page with the paper from the Basics kit (using both the white and the red sides), and I drew a border using a marker to fill in some of the white.
