Inspiration: Queen & Co Sketch #89
This card came together in the most random way. I have these Christmas embossed stickers from K & Company that must have been purchased literally twenty years ago. They have come close to being added to the giveaway pile many times over, but I kept thinking there was something pretty to be done with them. Don't ask me why today was the day that inspiration finally struck but it did and I'm quite surprised at how much I like the end result. The delicate sentiment comes from the Hustle & Bustle Thickers pack and filled the space nicely on the large oval sticker.
As for the background papers, they come from Tim Holtz's 2020 Christmas paper pack and the colours just work perfectly with the sticker's. I inked the edges with Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede ink to keep all edges even after I cut the papers to size (as the outside edges of the 8" x 8" papers were inked. I added Champagne iridescent dots from Stampin' Up! to embellish a bit.
For the envelope, I picked an A2 Oak Woodgrain envelope, inked the edges and used the remaining sticker from the pack. It looked weird used in its entirety, but cutting it in half did the trick and allowed me to use the second half to decorate inside the card. One of my goals this year is to use my stash, so it feels good to have finished off this sticker pack.
