Inspiration: Page Maps August 2023 Sketch + Simon Says stamp Wednesday (Anything Goes)
I revisited my London trip travel and paired them with the Travelogue collection from Photoplay. I love the colours from this collection. I picked a picture that was taken with Yeoman Warders while we were visiting the Tower of London. I was really impressed with their uniforms and by the fact that they were actually smiling (unlike a lot of guards when they are on duty). I also had a big flashback to the logo on the Beefeater gin bottles my parents used to mix drinks when we were entertaining company when I was younger.
This page is quite simple. I replaced the second pictures from the sketch with a cut-apart card, on which I handwrote my journaling. I made my own ticket using the Travelogue cardstock pack and the Ticket Booth stamp set and dies from Tim Holtz. The title was created with two different puffy alphabet sets from PinkFresh (Happy Heart - gold - and the best day - navy). The picture was also matted with another cardstock from the Travelogue cardstock pack. (Word to the wise: those cardstock packs are not exact matches to the Photoplay paper, they are just selected My Colors cardstock that closely match the papers. I've stuck to the colors that matched the closest for this page, but I'm afraid that the golden yellow from the cardstock paper is going to look a little too bright next to the muted curry shade of the papers.)
