Inspiration: 52 Christmas Card Throwdown (Shaped Card)
I immediately knew that I wanted to pull out my Sweater Vest dies from Sunny Studio when I saw that this week's challenge was to make a shaped card. I love this die set and I've really enjoyed finding funky patterns to make vest out of. This time around, I picked the Santa pattern from Echo Park's Happy Holidays collection. I used the green retro star pattern from the edges and the red plaid for the argyle pattern. I used my etoile DMC thread to add stitching as well, with green sequins in the center for additional texture.
I also changed the collar up and did the V neck, adding the polo collar and the red bowtie to go with it. The resulting card just makes me smile.
Supplies
Cardstock: Thick Basic White (Stampin' Up!)
Patterned Papers, Cardstock Stickers: Happy Holidays (Echo Park)
Dies: Sweater Vest (Sunny Studio)
Accessories: Desert Hike Sequin Mix (28 Lilac Lane - Buttons Galore & More);
Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); Etoile Needlepoint Thread (DMC);
A2 Metallic Jupiter Envelope (Envelopes.com)
Beautiful shaped card! Thanks for playing at 52 CCT challange.
