Inspiration: Lasting Memory Layout #669 (One-word title starting with F, M or S, and use at least three different patterned papers) + Simon Says Stamp (Food and/or Drink)
I looked through my paper collections and had a looked at the ones that had chipboard and foam stickers to see if I could find a large title starting with one of the letters of the challenge. I found the word Summer in the Retro Summer collection and since I had not had the chance to use that one yet, I dug out the picture of us eating frozen treats at Dairy Queen during a past summer trip.
The title comes from the chipboard stickers, but for fun, I also picked other embellishments that started with S to keep with the theme: the Sno Cones cut-apart, the Sunshine and Strawberry word cardstock stickers, the So Hot brad, the So Much Fun chipboard banner, the Summer Faves marquee image that I fussy cut... The pink was fading in the background, so I looked at the die-cuts to see if I could layer and I found a yellow die-cut in the Journaling Bits that was perfect to make the marquee stand out more. I also used the Hot Days banner from the Journaling Bits underneath my Sno Cones image.
The Sno Cone carts come from the cardstock stickers and the ice cream sandwich from the sticker book. I drew lines and handwrote my journaling using a Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Write marker. I added silver foil pearls to the marquee to look like little lights.
