Inspiration: Stress Free Card Making Summit - Lauren Hinds presentation
One of the presentation during the card summit showed how to make five cards out of two 12" x 12" sheets of patterned paper and a pack of ephemera. It dawned on me that I still had chipboard and ephemera pieces left from Bella Blvd.'s Santa Squad collection, so I decided to give this tutorial a try to see if I could make a few more fun cards for the children's hospital.
I have those say, the resulting cards turned out way better than I anticipated. I didn't have a lot of full sheets left and the ones that I had didn't have backside that I could use, so I worked around the scraps that I had and cut them to size to loosely follow the directions given in the tutorial. Considering that I have already used this collection quite a bit last year and now have to work around what I have left, those cards still turned out pretty cute.
With the chipboard and layers, I was worried that the cards would not fit well in regular A2 envelopes, so I looked through the leftover papers and was lucky to find 5 sheets that were still large enough to make matching envelopes out of. When I destashed, I gave away the Project Life cards I had since I never use those, but I did keep a pile of white cards to use for journaling blocks, which I used here to make address blocks on the envelopes.
I stamped sentiments on some of the cards, using 4 en scrap stamps that matched the available space, and then I went through my embellishments to add cute touches to the cards.
