Inspiration: Tic Tac Toe #229 (Holiday + Patterned Paper + Matching Envelope)
I am coming down to the last scraps of the Santa Squad collection. I had a 4" x 6" cut-apart image left of five nutcrackers. I cut the sentiment off at the bottom and replaced it with the Merry Christmas cut-apart sentiment strip instead, At the top, I used a leftover paper strip to fill the space and I matted the image with gold kraft-stock, then layered a piece of red polka dot paper underneath. I had bought some card bases and envelopes from Stampin' Up! that are specifically sized to go with their insert cards for pocket scrapbooking, with the goal to use them with cut-apart images from my patterned paper collection, so this came in handy here. It also provided me with the matching envelope as well since this finished card actually measures 4¼" x 6¼".
Since this was a pretty flat design, I used quite a few embellishments on the nutcracker to zhuzh them up, and I popped the gold panel up with foam tape, also adding a bit of teal twine at the top.
