Inspiration: Mojo Monday sketch #242
I have some cute Easy 3D Toppers from Hearty Crafts of gnomes in front of cute doors, and I assembled a few using foam adhesive, then I looked through my patterned papers to find collections that could go well with them. For this green and red gnome, I picked Handmade Holiday, an old Simple Stories collection that dates back to 2012.
I cut the background with the Zig-Zag Stackers die and a panel out of the polka dot paper. That panel felt a little empty, so I overstamped the sheet music from Tim Holtz's Music & Advert stamp set, in Baked Brown Sugar ink, then I matted the panel with gold kraft-stock.
For the diagonal stripe, I used the large polka dot pattern and I matted it with the green gingham paper, punching the bottom edge with my Pinking Heart border punch. I wrapped some Vivant baker's twine around, before adding the gnome with foam adhesive.
I fussy cut the sentiment from one of the cut-apart images from the 6" x 6" paper pad and mounted it on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I also fussy cut the holly leaves image and added it to the corner. I found some wooden snowflakes in my stash, so I added one in the top corner, and a little green enamel dot to the gnome's hat.
I used one of the border cut-aparts on the envelope.
