Inspiration: Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #591
I found some papers from an older Photoplay collection called Snowball Fight and the cheery colours seemed appropriate to make sunny Christmas cards to give to the children's hospital. I cut two images from the cut-apart sheet.
The snowman in a mason jar image was used on the card inspired by the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch. I was also excited to try out the Noel Buzzword dies from Honey Bee that I found in an after-Christmas sale. I love the font and size and the fact that it has three layers. It's also nice that it works for French cards (even though it's missing its umlaut on the e). I added black gingham ribbon for a bit of texture and topped it with a gold fabric star that I found on my desk. The little gold stars placed around the image are negative die-cuts from the Stars and Swirls die-cut I used on the second card.
Speaking of which, the second card measures 4" x 6" as the starting point was the cut-apart sheet. Because of the pink frame, I didn't want to cut it down to fit a regular A2 card, so I made a larger card. I was liking the look of the snowcone snowman image over it, so I added the gold star swirl in the background to add shine and fill the space, and I returned to the Noel Buzzword die-cut as it filled the space nicely and added colour to the layout as well. I topped the snowflake with a turquoise gem and added a few leftover gold stars around the card.
Both envelopes were done with the Envelope Punch Board and matching patterned paper. On the green envelope, I die-cut a stitched nested tag out of Daffodil Delight cardstock and added a fussy cut snowman from the patterned paper.
