Inspiration: Tuesday Morning Sketches #686
The sketch reminded me of hanging ornaments, so I pulled out the Decorated With Happiness stamp set from Stampin' Up! and I paired it with the Warm Wishes collection from Vicki Boutin. One of the patterned paper had a branch on it, so I cut the paper to fit on a 4¼" x 8½" card base, using the Deckle Trimmer from Tim Holtz to get deckled edges.
The ornaments were stamped and embossed on watercolor paper with Platinum embossing powder, colored with inks and cut with the matching dies. They were added to the patterned paper with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I was planning on stamping my sentiment in a big circle, but then I realized I had the stars and heart chipboard pieces from this collection and I decided to go with an oversized star. I've recently found the Heartfelt Creations poinsettia set that lets you create 3D flowers and I had tested it on Cherry Cobbler and Evening Evergreen cardstock. It was sitting on my desktop, begging to be used, so I added the poinsettia and flourish to the star, adding Prima gems on it. I used a smaller chipboard star on the washi tape and candy dots on both ends. I stamped stars and a sentiment on the patterned paper and embossed them with Platinum powder. I die-cut little stars out of Champagne foil sheets and added them to the paper as well.
To finish, I created an envelope out of patterned paper to match.
