Inspiration: Mojo Monday #249
Having images ready to fussy cut from the Designer Series paper really makes the process of cardmaking faster and easier. Here, I fussy-cut the image of Santa and Mrs. Claus skating together and created a little scene for them based on an old Mojo Monday sketch. I have not been into the DSP as much in recent years, but the Santa Express DSP is right up my alley. I love the retro colours and the variety of patterns in the pack (no repeats in different colours, a personal pet peeve as it makes designing harder).
The sentiment comes from the Angels of Peace stamp set. It's a three-line sentiment, but I inked the first line with a Stampin' Write marker and cut it using a little tag die. I couldn't find ribbon that I like threaded in the dainty tag, so I used an eyelet instead and placed the die-cut bow from the Santa's Train die set underneath. At the bottom of the card, I lined up In Color opal rounds. I liked having Mrs. Claus' cape hanging off the side of the card, so I made an oversize envelope (4½" x 5½") to accommodate for the overhang.
