Inspiration: Mojo Monday #337 + Simon Says Stamp Monday (Freezing Cold Mood Board)
I was going through my patterned paper collections and realized that the Snow and the City collection had skating images that could work well with Simon Says Stamp challenge. I based my design on an old Mojo Monday sketch, and I used one of the cut-aparts for the main image. I embossed a sentiment in red sparkly powder and stenciled snowflakes using Ranger's Metallic White texture paste. The sentiment comes from Spellbinder's Joyeux Noël stamp set. I was so incredibly excited to find out that Spellbinders had issued a French stamp set! Apparently, my local store owner asked if the company would be willing to issue a French set for the Christmas classes they were giving in Canada and they agreed, so she provided them with the four sentiments you see there. This is really cool and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the set sells well enough that we see other French sets down the line.
The main image was matted with Spellbinder's glimmer foam in black and I tied black shimmery ribbon around the back panel as well. I finished the design with black gems and vintage pearls in the center of the snowflakes. I also added a tag with the same skater image to the matching red envelope.
