Inspiration: Mojo Monday #59
When I was going through the Mistletoe Kisses ephemera pack, I tested out hanging the mittens on the corner of one of the sentiment blocks and I liked the result paired with this one, because it's short enough to see the second mitten at the bottom, so this was the starting point of this card. I looked at the list of Mojo Monday sketches for inspiration and came up with this design. I thought the Iridescent Trim from the current Stampin' Up! Holidays minicatalogue went well with the soft colours of the Simple Stories collection. To stretch my remaining papers, I also worked in a sheet of the new Knit Picky Winter paper from Lawn Fawn (6" x 6"), which went very nicely with the mittens.
I had three die-cut snowflakes on my desk, that had originally been glued on a blue vellum shadow and after weeks of not being able to work them into any of my holiday projects, I just decided to rip them from the blue paper and use them on their own on this card. I also worked in a piece of white velvet print vellum on the main block for added texture. The green border in the background was die-cut with the Lacy Borders dies from Lawn Fawn, and I used a metallic Lagoon A2 envelope to finish the set.
