Inspiration: Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #573
I kept going with the Mistletoe Kisses collection, and the open sketch was perfect to set a scene using the three vintage-looking ornaments from the cardstock sticker sheet. I placed them to try and make the thread length work with the design, and then I stamped "Happy Holidays" on a piece of Bubblegum textured cardstock from Simple Stories. I recently built my Color Vibe cardstock collection when my local store had a sale, and I think I'm going to find useful to have matching cardstock for the large variety of Simple Stories paper collection that I own. This specific shade of pink has been especially challenging to find as regular cardstock, so it was nice to have this option to go to to make my sentiment strip. I stamped the words in VersaMark and embossed them in Aqua Tinsel embossing powder from Ranger. I tried really hard to place the sentiment strip near the middle of the card like on the sketch but it was not working at all, and the design worked much better with the strip added at the bottom instead.
I added baker's twine bows to all three ornaments, pearls to the center of the ornaments, and I sprinkled sequins and white beads in the background. I'm really liking the multiple matting in the card background, also inspired by the sketch. It adds a nice design element.
