Inspiration: Retro Rubber #192 (Anything Goes - stamp set dating back to circa 2019 - I think?)
I was working on a layout using the Say Cheese Frontier at the Park collection from Simple Stories. I spotted the animal heads in the foam stickers pack and I knew I would probably not use those stickers in my Disney album since we didn't visit the Country Bear Jamboree attraction while we were there. That being said, the images reminded me of the animal-themed challenge from Global Design Project and I thought this could make for a very neat masculine card.
I happened to have tree ring die-cuts on my desk, as I had tested the Tree Rings Hybrid embossing folder and matching dies. They were perfect to give the heads more depth and make them stand out on the wood background. I added a strip of plaid paper to stay with the masculine look and I bubbled cut my stamped Happy Birthday sentiment.
I used my Photoplay slimline card bases, but this time, I was wiser and cut a quarter inch from the bottom before assembling anything so that the card would fit in my existing slimline envelopes. I used the notes from the cardstock sticker sheet for added whimsy. I think this turned out really cute.
