Inspiration: November 2017 Card Maps sketch + Little Red Wagon #611 (Christmas in July)
Since I was done with the current Card Maps sketches, I went looking at past card sketches for inspiration. I found one with a leaping reindeer on it and it reminded me of some pretty cool silver foam stickers I found at the dollar store last year. I used the floral pattern for the center part of the sketch and the Festive Foils Specialty DSP (sold in current Stampin' Up! Holidays minicatalogue) for the background. The sketch had a shape for the sentiment strip that looked a lot like a die I have in a Project Life Nesting Dies set, so I stamped the Happy Holidays stamp in Shaded Spruce ink on Old Olive cardstock and cut it out with the die.
Because the sticker set had two reindeers and I very much loved the first card, I decided to make a duplicate. I realized when I added the reindeer to the card that the second one is slightly smaller, so I did three snowflakes on this card for balance. There's something very elegant about the end result. It's hard to think that those stickers were only a buck.
