Inspiration: YouTube tutorial from Bambidearr + Simon Says Stamp Monday (Not a Card)
I loved the cute giftcard folder tutorial I found on YouTube and pulled out the Winter Cottage collection from Simple Stories to give it a try with. The folder is really easy and quick to put together. I'm not sure what I will add to the pocket so I left them empty for now.
I used snaps to keep the folder shut. At first, I thought I would not be able to since the tool does not reach far enough to reach the center of the flap, but then I realized I could do one in each corner instead and it solved my problem. I picked the closest colour to the collection from the box I have and then I used the Bits & Pieces, decorative brads and puffy stickers to embellish the inside and outside of the folder.
I gave bead wrapping another go and embellished the side of the album with a few trinkets I had. I realized after I was done that in the tutorial, the crafter adds the bead cluster to the album with a paper clip, which would have been a good idea so that it can be taken off and possibly reused, but mine was added with a jump ring on an eyelet. It was fun to revisit the Winter Cottage collection, one of the first "Crate Paper style" collection Simple Stories offered. I'm glad that they have done more since, this style really appeals to me.
