Inspiration: Hand Stamped Sentiments #383
This card was created by playing around with some random supplies I had around on my desk. I created the striped background with the Broad Strokes stencil from Heffy Doodle and I used Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink for a smooth coverage. I had initially embossed Just Jade cardstock with the now retired Scattered Sequins 3D embossing folder but the result felt a little flat, so I added patterned paper over it for more details.
My main image was stamped on watercolour paper with VersaMark and embossed in Platinum powder. The full image is pretty wide and made to work for a slimline card, but I shortened it to keep only three pigs (although you do see the ear of one at the right). I used my Faber-Castell watercolour pencils to color the image. I created my own rounded top tag using a circle die and placing my cutting plates on only half of it, and then cutting the rest of the paper off with scissors, then rounding the corners with a punch. I punched a hole and threaded Pale Papaya ribbon.
I looked at sentiment options and immediately liked the one talking about confetti, so I stamped it on a strip of cardstock. The word confetti was going over the edges, so I stamped it again on white cardstock and bubble cut the image out, then layered it on with mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Because of the confetti reference, I went to town and added a bunch of sequins in matching colours everywhere around the card.
You can see the full image stamped in Calypso Coral ink on the matching envelope.
