Inspiration: January 2020 Page Maps Sketch + Lasting Memory Layout challenge #588 (Love your stash - stickers)
I had placed the Hip Hop Hooray collection from Simple Stories aside hoping to use it for Spring projects and when I spotted the spring-themed cookies picture in my pile, I decided they would pair together well. I picked a sketch that worked for my portrait and landscape pictures and cut papers to fit.
Since I had only purchased papers by the sheet from this collection, I had to shop my stash for embellishments. I fussy cut the flowers from one of the patterned paper and I also selected some baking-themed stickers from Doodlebug that had colours that could match. I used my Doily dies from Coco & Reno to create my title block. I started by gluing block alphabet stickers on my plaid banner tag and then I found some really old soft green stickers from SEI that had the letters I needed to create the title. Or so I thought, as I had to create my second "i" out of a "j" and I also noticed that I needed to "s" and only had one in the uppercase letters, so I borrowed from the lowercase to solve my problem. In retrospect, I think I glued everything together too closely, but those clear stickers were too sticky to peel up without tearing the paper, so I decided to live with it and find an image or embellishment to fill in the empty space. The whisk I found was perfect and solved my problem.
I used a cut-apart block for my journaling at the bottom of the page, and I added a sparkly border sticker and some sewing with a turquoise rub-on as well.
