The Simple Vintage Lemon Twist collection from Simple Stories has been sitting in my stash since its release last year and I had yet to use it. I love the bright and colorful patterns, but I was not really sure what to use them with. I've also learned from previous experience that I don't find crafting with a palette of only two colours (red and green at Christmas, orange and purple at Halloween, etc.) easy because it makes it harder to layer without elements getting lost. Despite being aware of that challenge, I still let myself get tempted by this beautiful line.

I used a picture of my niece pulled out from a past calendar. She's wearing black and white, which helped tie in with the paper line, and the picture is oversized, which helps fills the space on the page. I used the black and white Buffalo check for the background and the newspaper print pattern for the center block. I liked that it says "Singer's" everywhere on it, as it ties nicely with the image of my niece wearing headphones. I matted the paper with the teal paper from the Basics kit, which helped add some plain colour on a very busy page.

I added two circles cut out of patterned paper with circle dies and I layered a few Bits and Pieces over them. I created my title with two alphabet sticker sets, and the library card comes from the cut-apart sheet. I'll add some journaling to it when I have a moment. I added two tags at the bottom, one from the Bits & Pieces kit, with teal ribbon stapled behind it, and one from the cardstock elements stickers. I tied a piece of white polka dot tulle trim at the bottom and glued a decorative brad in the center of the bow. I added two hearts from the Bits & Pieces to the side of the picture, topped with rhinestones.
