Inspiration: Try Stampin' on Tuesday #539 + Just Add Ink #587 (Circle + Twine) + Tic Tac Toe #145 + Just Us Girls #616
I went through the supplies I have put aside hoping to use soon and I spotted the Snowman dies from Spellbinders, which I scored in one of their clearance sales last year. I remembered seeing snowman-themed challenges this week, so I pulled it out. I went looking for patterned papers before I started using the dies so I would know which color scheme I was working with. I pulled out the Navy Mustard papers from Scrapbook Customs, as I was drawn to the colours.
I die-cut the top hat out of Misty Moonlight cardstock, the leaves out of Pool Party, the scarf and berries out of Petite Pirouette, the eyes out of Basic Grey, the nose out of Summer Starfruit and the face out of Whisper White. I used a grey pen to draw the mouth following the debossed shape, and I used a navy marker to color the hat's ribbon, following the debossed lines as well. I used a white marker to add a few highlights. I'm not really fond of this marker as it seeps into the cardstock and does not produce an opaque result. In this case, I wanted the highlights to be subtle, so I worked this "flaw" to my advantage.
The background was die-cut with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die-namics and I used the Mini Slimline Stackables for the two panels. I layered a Misty Moonlight and Pool Party ribbons to tie in a knot and I added a bow of linen thread over it. I punched a mini banner out of patterned paper to add at the top of the right panel, topping it with a pink rhinestone and I added a few white glossy confetti around the card.
The snowman was added to a punched circle in the center of the card and I stamped my sentiment ("Best Wishes") on a strip of Pool Party cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink, cut the edge at an angle and added it to the card with dimensional adhesive, before adding an Opal Rounds to the end. I used Petite Pirouette cardstock for the card base.
I made a matching envelope out of patterned paper and I added an address block die-cut out of Pool Party cardstock with the Labels collection dies. I remembered those dies had matching piercing templates, which I dug out to pierce a border before gluing to the envelope.
