Inspiration: ColourQ #223 + In[k]spire Me #470
This project was born from my experimentation pieces. I had cut up a woodgrain texture cardstock in quadrants and on this one, I had stenciled some glitter paste and then spritzed the cardstock with Candied Apple Distress Oxide spray. I had also used the Mini Foundry embossing folder on Silver Kraftstock and used black acrylic paint to distress the metal and highlight the details.
I had wanted to create something with the Inquisitive stamp set for a while and I decided the pieces I was working with might be perfect for it. I drew inspiration from the In[k]spire Me sketch and set my pieces following the same design. I stamped the row of numbers from the stamp set on the metal piece and embossed it in Crushed Curry powder. I also used the plus signs image on the striped patterned paper, which I distressed the edge of and added to the card using mini staples.
I stamped the target in Merry Merlot ink and cut it out with a circle die. I stamped one of the gentlemen in Tuxedo Black ink, colored him with Copic markers and cut him out. I was trying to figure out how to add a sentiment to my card and I decided to test the round happy birthday die I have, which happened to be the perfect size. I initially did it in Summer Starfruit, but it was really clashing against the Crushed Curry embossing powder, so I covered it with a second circle die-cut out of Basic Grey cardstock instead.
I was looking for something to finish the card with, so I stamped the doodled border from the Dotted and Stitched set on the left and I added a screw embellishment to the metal part. The panel was mounted on a Basic Grey card base.
