I have been seeing some really cute projects done with Coco & Reno dies over the years and I finally caved and placed my first order with them. I was eager to try my new purchases, particularly the Mail Box dies since Valentine's Day is coming up. I picked the Cupid & Co papers released last year by Echo Park.
I used white woodgrain cardstock to make the flag on the side of the mailbox and I used a black brad to make a hinge. I added a die cut with the word Always, from the Frames & Tags ephemera pack that I got on clearance for a dollar recently. I punched a small heart and added it to the flag to decorate it.
On the front flap, I added a pink foil bow that was die-cut using the Bows dies, also from Coco & Reno. To decorate the left side, I used a rosette (another die from my order), topped with a circle die-cut and a little banner that was fussy cut from the patterned paper. I added a touch of red Stickles on the little heart from the banner.
I love that this mailbox was incredible easy to put together but also a little bigger than most I've seen in the past. (Approximately 3½" long by 2¼" high.) Hopefully, I have time to make a second mailbox so that I have one for each of my nieces.
