Inspiration: In[k]spire Me #466 (Elegant Christmas Colours) + Just Add Ink #585 (Gift Packaging)
I am putting the finishing touches on Christmas gifts. My mom bought my sister's gift when she visited in October, had it gift-wrapped at the store and asked if she could leave it at my place rather rather than having to lug it back and forth twice, which I was totally fine with. I figured I'd add a gift tag on it just for fun. The store had wrapped the gift in gold paper with a red twill ribbon, so it gave a lot of creative freedom to do any kind of tag. I really wanted to use the Seasonal Sketch dies from Tim Holtz. I dug through my scrap drawers to find colours I liked and I added a bit of gold foil sheets to make the design stand out. I wanted a neutral background and I found a white polka dot kraft cardstock in my neutral scraps that is from an old Stampin' Up! paper collection. The tag die was pulled from a Planner Essentials die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I added my sister's initial using the Tall Skinny Alphabet dies on Red Berries Specialty paper from Tonic. As I mentioned in a previous post, the texture unfortunately get squished during the die-cutting process, but the sheen remains, so the colour is not as flat as it would be with regular cardstock. I'll be adding Old Olive/Pretty Peacock reversible ribbon on the tag once I'm ready to tie it to the gift.
