Inspiration: Just Add Ink #570
I finally managed to put my hands on the Retro Sun & Palms stencil set. I LOVE that retro sun design and I cannot wait to try various colour iterations of it. Here, I paired it with the colour combo from Just Add Ink and did something pretty simple, using blender brushes and my Distress Oxide inks in Salvaged Patina and Chipped Sapphire.
I splat Glitter Gloss over the card to make it shimmer and I stamped a sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set that reads "Enjoy a well-deserved rest" and embossed it in navy powder. This makes a nice retirement or vacation card. I recently scored big time when I found Prima flowers from the Apricot Honey collection in the clearance section at $0,99 each. At that price, I grabbed three packs. I like that they are the smaller flower packs, as those are easier to use on projects without making them too bulky and at that price, I can add them without hearing "cha-ching" in my head every time I glue one on. I remembered that some of them were turquoise, so I grabbed one and then I went to my stash to find another pack of smaller flowers I have to be able to mix sizes. As I did, I spotted my navy buttons, so I decided to have a look at those as an option as well. When I found a navy button with an anchor on it, I decided it was too perfect to pass up. I ended up pairing the two together to embellish my card.
I repeated the stenciling on the envelope and inside the card. I also added washi tape in a matching colour that reads "Be present in the moment." This is WAY simpler than my usual design. I only do CAS once in every blue moon, but the card looked good and I decided to leave it alone.
