Inspiration: Mojo Monday #292 + Sunday Stamps #257
I was enjoying using the Blessed papers from Kaiser Craft so I kept going and made a second card, this time pairing the papers with the Drink Up the Sunshine stamps and dies from My Favorite Things. This cute stamp set kept going on backorder and it took me a long time before I could get my hands on it - happened in winter time, which makes sense, and now I'm finally getting around to using it.
This card was fairly easy and quick to make, as I layered patterned paper as per the sketch and the images didn't require intricate coloring. I love the final result - this is the kind of card that just puts me in a good mood. I added a gold frame to the card using the Fine Frames Cover die from Altenew. I love how the die produces thin frames, but those are challenging to die-cut and glue on! The first time I used the die, I discovered that it wouldn't cut all the way through without the use of my chrome plate, so I made sure to pull it out this time. I added adhesive sheet to the back of the paper and it made for a very tight sandwich, so I ended up with adhesive on my chrome plate. Next time, I'll try using my Sizzix adhesive sheets, which are slightly thinner, to see if it helps. The other challenge is to glue the frame on straight! The cardstock is so thin, it easil bends out of shape, so it made for an interesting challenge, getting it on straight. The gold frame does add a very neat touch to the final result, though.
I used a Flame metallic envelope to go with the card, and I recycled the circle I had leftover from the camera lens hole from my previous project.
