I purchased a couple of die sets from Elizabeth Craft Designs meant for the Sidekick and even though I don't own this size of planner, I liked the dies enough to know I could get my money's worth even if I'm not using the page dies. I was eager to try the dies out, so I pulled out the paper scraps I had left from my Spring Market collection (which had been thoroughly loved before) and I ended up making way more than I had anticipated. I worked some new purchases into my design, but also some leftover pieces from my desk or older supplies and I'm very pleased with where I landed. Those will probably be worked into future more involved projects. I am really enjoying those creative sessions where I just play with stuff and go wherever inspiration takes me. I end up with resulting elements that are very different from what I get when I try to create an actual project from beginning to end. I also use more unexpected elements and a bunch of paper scraps when I create this way.
(On a side note, I remember hearing my older niece get upset at her younger sibling because she was using "too many paper pieces" on her craft project. I had to remind her that I had enough paper scraps to last a lifetime and that I'm more than able to provide them with enough papers to craft until they retire themselves!)
