Inspiration: Try Stampin' on Tuesday #480
Alright, one more... Here's another card born of me using the 'Tis the Season ephemera pack and Wintergreen DSP pack down to the last bit. I don't think you could guess that those cards are made with leftover. I'm also still amazed at how well the Wintergreen collection as aged. Those green and sage hues are still lookin' good! On this card, I incorporated an additional paper scrap I found while I was working on something else. (I'm decorating the place for Halloween and I was going through my neutral scraps to make bat die-cuts to glue on the wall. That's when I found this pearly white embossed paper, that I put aside to work into a Christmas card design.)
I loved the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch as the right panel is perfect to use small scraps! I had a lot of those, so I pulled out all of the small strips I had, glued them down on a scrap of white cardstock and then die-cut the strip with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies. I use the same die on a strip of the white embossed specialty paper, and I combined the two together on a piece of slightly larger Certainly Celery cardstock, making sure to include my Sahe Shadow in between first. I'm always looking for border dies and punches, as I tend to use those a lot to add interest between portions of a design, so I was happy to get the Border Dies recently released from Photoplay. The wonky scallops is my favorite, so I used it first.
The rest of the card is really a mix of layered die-cut images, a touch of Stickles, a couple of colored pearls and a bit of ribbon. I also layered die-cuts on the envelope and added one more inside the card for good measure. I think I can squeeze one more card design out of the remaining papers and die-cuts, so I'm going to give it a try, and then I'll be happy to move on to other projects.
