Inspiration: Freshly Made Sketch #460
I love creating Christmas projects with sweet shades of pink, green and aqua. My inspiration for this one was the gorgeous Sugarplum collection from My Mind's Eye, which dates back a few years now. I stamped and colored my two characters from the Warm Wishes set from The Greeting Farm in shades matching the patterned papers. There was no die set to go with the stamps, so I fussy cut them out. Initially, I had placed both characters on each side of the banner and it was looking a little strange. I realized it looked much better when I was placing them side by side in the center of the card.
For the sentiment, I found something size-appropriate to fit in my banner that reads, "May this festive season be filled with big moments and fond memories". I wanted to add a holly image underneath, so I went digging through my Christmas embellishments and I found some cute Holly Berries Sprinkles Shapes from Doodlebug that worked perfectly.
The little embellishment in the bottom right corner is actually the leftover piece from the die-cut banner. The original piece was too long, so I run it again a second time to shorten it and the leftover piece had this cute shape, that I topped with a brad to add interest to the card. The designs from the pack were too busy for a sentiment, so I went looking through my Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper stacks and used a Certainly Celery scrap instead. Since it's double-sided, I used the backside for my embellishment piece.
An Aquamarine metallic envelope was decorated with a sticker from the paper pack to finish the look.
