Inspiration: Mojo Monday #546
Last week, I pulled out the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper pack and decided to make a set of embellishments with it. This is something I've done in the past few months when I was down to a few scraps left in a collection and I was amazed at how many intricate elements I could put together if I worked on them all at once. This time, I decided to use current supplies and dive into a new paper pack so I could make cards to send to my downline members. I spent an evening punching, die-cutting and gluing away and now, I'm slowly turninng all of my elements into actual finished project.
The first one was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch. Since I had created a layered circle, it was easy to work it into the Mojo design. For the background, I pulled out the new red velvet sheets and embossed it using the Woodland embossing folder, to match the trees in my patterned papers.
The silver mesh ribbon is shown as part of the Halloween suite as it can look like spiderweb, but it also looks like frost to me, so I layered a piece over my snowflake paper and I used a sentiment punched out of the patterned paper, which reads "under a blanket snow" and popped it on mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
The two circle dies used for my main piece were cut with dies from the Painted Labels set, and the little branches were punched with the Sprig punch. I would not necessarily have thought to combine all of those elements together if I had simply been working on a card, but because I worked differently (I punched and die-cut a bunch of elements, laid them out on my desk and started assembling them in clusters), I ended up with something different. To finish, I embellished with a few All the Trimmings embellishments.
