I kept going with the Queen & Co kits I had put aside to work on. This one is Hocus Pocus and I created two treat bags using the witch dress, the hat, the broom and the two sentiments. The polka dot pockets are the Sketched Dots Tag-a-Bag Gift Bags Stampin' Up! was selling in a previous annual catalogue. I added the Stitched Oval dies, the mini clips, the twine and foil paper, but the rest came from the kit itself. I always think that because I'm working with a kit, the projects are going to come together quicker, but this is not necessarily true, especially since in this case, the projects are not designed for you. You have the shaker elements, but you need to design the project they are going on. I'm also missing the "back piece" dies. which Queen & Co didn't use to carry, but they started providing them after clients asked. What I mean by that is that while I have the shaped transparency for the front, I do not have the shape to close the back of the shaker with. You could simply glue your shaker directly to the project, but most of the time, you would like to fill the shape with a specific colour that might not be your background colour, and you might also want to move the shaker around before you commit to where it is going to be glued permanently. For that reason, I had to trace and cut my own back pieces and some of the shapes (the broom, for example) were trickier than others. The backing dies are now on my wish list, but I don't know when I will get around to purchasing them.
