Inspiration: Just Add Ink #523 (Just Add A)
I was trying to find elements that start with A and I kept thinking of "arbres", which means tree in French. Lots of options there...
I had seen felt trees made out of circles on Pinterest and I was curious to test it out myself. I pulled out the green felt I had and started die-cutting circles, alternating colours. I punched a hole in the center with my paper piecer and layered the circles on a wooden rod. I was surprised at how many layers it took to get a full tree and I was worried I would run out of felt before I was done, so I spaced the layers out with green buttons I added on the rod. The trunk was made out of rolled brown felt and I added two stars die-cut out of glitter cardstock at the top and I sandwiched twine in between to turn it into an ornament.
Supplies
Dies: Layering Circles (Tonic); Outside In Stitched Stars (Lawn Fawn)
Felt: Brown (Papertrey Ink); Green (The Cat's Pajamas)
Buttons: Stampin' Up!, Foof-a-La
Glimmer Paper: Champagne (Stampin' Up!)
This is gorgeous Cindy. The layering of the felt in different colours makes for such a fun Christmas decoration. This would look fabulous hanging on your tree. Thanks for playing along this week at Just Add Ink. Rochelle xo

This looks fabulous Cindy! I love that you have made a Christmas ornament that you can use every year. The circles are such a fun, simple but so effective way to use felt to create a Christmas tree. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. Kim
