Inspiration: Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #393
I wanted to use the Kate & Ash papers from Simple Stories and I thought the cool young vibe would pair will with the Curvy Girl Bachelorette image from Stamping Bella. I colored my image to match the colors from the papers and I based my card's layout on the Paper Craft Crew sketch. I added shimmer with the Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer brush and a glitter gel pen to the boa, crown, ring and shoes. The card is pretty simple, but it lets the cuteness of the papers and the main image shine.
I was looking for an appropriate French set and I found "She said yes!" in a Stampin' Up! set that just retired with the annual catalogue. I hadn't had the chance to use this one yet, so it was nice to get it inked and it fit the image perfectly. I stamped it in Basic Black Craft ink and embossed it with clear powder, although the colour definitely paled and now it looks more like brown than black. It was not bothering me enough to redo this step, so I kept it as is.
For the envelope, I picked a Rose Quartz metallic envelope and embossed my bachelorette image in Calypso Coral powder to mimick the color combo from the heart-patterned paper.
Every time I look at this Stamping Bella image, I can't help but get the "Bachelorette" song from Tori Amos stuck in my head.

What an eye-catching card - I love that 'bride' image, what fun to color to twin with an actual bride to be. Thanks for playing along with the Paper Craft Crew this week!
