Inspiration: Mojo Monday #527 + Simon Says Stamp (masculine) + Just Add Ink #508 (F for Folder)
I really loved the look of the Let It Ride stamp set from the moment I saw it and was happy to add a horse set to my collection since I didn't have any. I have to admit that I have found this set hard to work with, though. Not sure why, but this hasn't sparked as much inspiration as I would have hoped. I did decide to give it a try again today and I'm happy with how my card turned out.
I stamped the horse head on Crumb Cake cardstock, and cut the image out with the embossed tag from the Painted Labels die. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils (love how the colors pop on kraft cardstock) and I stamped a sentiment from the Power of Hope stamp set (2020 SAB offering). It reads, "This day marks a new beginning."
For my background piece, I went looking for textures so I picked Buffalo Plaid for the background and I embossed my middle piece with the Corrugated 3D embossing folder (love that one, very sad to see it go). I distressed the edge of the plaid cardstock and layered the Soft Seafoam embossed piece, then I tied a piece of jute ribbon in the centre. I slid two copper leave trinkets behind the ribbon knot and a Early Espresso circle created with the same die set behind the main image. I finished the card off with sequins and faceted dots. I used a Crumb Cake envelope to finish the set.
