Inspiration: TGIF #263 + ColourQ #181
I am sad to see the On to Adventure stamp set retire, it was one of my favorites from the current catalogue and I hate when catalogue sets don't last over a year. I realized I hadn't inked the image of the woman doing yoga yet, so it became the starting point of this card. I looked at ongoing challenges for inspiration and picked the TGIF sketch. I then looked at Designer Series Paper since it's all retiring and I picked the beautiful Noble Peacock foiled papers. I wanted to use the blue for the background but I wasn't sure which colours to pair with it so I went to past ColourQ challenges for inspiration and picked one with two shades of blues, black and yellow. That also gave me the chance to use Pineapple Punch, one of the retiring In Color shades.
I wanted a doily for the back piece. I don't think I have any current ones, but I pulled out the Doily Builder dies from last year. The Balmy Blue cardstock was embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and the black cardstock with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder. For the sentiment, I decided to use Les bons mots, since this die set is also retiring. As a final touch, I added two blue rhinestones from the Noble Peacock pack and a piece of Pineapple Punch ribbon peeking out.
