Inspiration: Color Throwdown #585 + CAS(E) This SKetch #364
This was a fun one-layer card that was fairly quick to put together. I used the gifts and one of the animal from the Bonanza Buddies stamp set to mirror the row of elements from the sketch. I used a little big of masking to get the layering of the birthday hat and balloons right. For the balloon, I stamped the ink off first so that the balloons who look translucent and layer better on top of each other (rather than masking).
I had pulled out the Bonanza dies, thinking I might put the animal on dimensional adhesive, but because I did the balloons, I stamped everything flat. I did decide to use the dies to add a banner in the top right corner. The flags seemed a little bare, so I looked through other dies to find something small and I ended up adding a couple of hearts die-cut with the Les bons mots (Well Written) die set.
The sentiment, which comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (I've been reaching for this one a lot lately), reads "Let's celebrate."
