Inspiration: Freshly Made Sketch #427
I'm really digging those poppy dies from the seasonal minicatalogue. I realized as I was leafing through the catalogue and looking at samples that the foliage is meant to be superposed. So far, I had used the pieces on their own, so I was curious to give it a go and see the result up close. I kept the design simple, based on the Freshly Made sketch, but by using Designer Series Paper and the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder, I still ended up with something quite pretty.
When I'm making two cards at once, I sometimes like to do something different between the two cards just to see different results. Here, I was hesitating between a couple of stamped sentiments, so I did one from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and on the second card, I went a totally different direction because I found a "thank you" I had previously die-cut from silver glimmer paper and left aside because it was not working well on my project at the time, but I knew I would be able to recycle it elsewhere. It was working well here, so off on the project it went.
