Inspiration: MFT Colour Challenge #131 + Little Red Wagon #528 (Any winter holiday)
I'm in need of more Stampin' Up! Christmas cards to send out so I looked through my current stamps and decided to make something with the Making Christmas Bright stamp set. The colorful combo from the MFT challenge seemed like a good match to make something festive and fun.
I used the Buffalo Check background stamp on Poppy Parade cardstock and ran the stamped cardstock through the Big Shot using the Subtle 3D embossing folder to add texture. It was a good step to add because the resulting plaid looks like fabric.
The various light bulbs from the stamp set were stamped in the challenge's colors and punched out with the matching punch. I also added the little tops in green cardstock.
I was looking through my current dies to find a border die I could use and I pulled out the Stitched Lace die, which I haven't used much yet since buying it. I used the border die to create a border the right size to my main panel and I layered the white die-cut lace underneath. For the sentiment, I die-cut the word Noël out of silver glimmer paper, using the Joyeux Noel dies.
