This project started with recycling leftovers from another project. A couple of weeks ago, I made a shaker card with the Stitched Tree Frames dies from Lawn Fawn. I used black foam to create the shaker edge, so I was left with the inside part of the tree both in foam and in patterned paper. I knew this would make a great tag so I put those die-cut elements aside to reuse later. Yesterday, I was looking at some Christmas washi tapes on my desk and thought they would make great ribbon for the tree, so I started decorating it. I also got the idea to add the fun red trim Stampin' Up! currently sells in its Holidays catalogue. I then stamped and watercolored cute images from the Snow Fun Avery Elle stamp set, using my Faber-Castell watercolor pencils and a waterbrush.
I die-cut a second piece of patterned paper from the Merry Little Christmas pack from Pebbles for the back, glue everything together and I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole at the top. I looking in my box of ribbon scraps (once a spool is down to less than a meter, I take it off the spool to save on space and into that box it goes). I found some Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, threaded it through the hole and I tied a white baker's twine bow, threadng two gold jingle bells on it.
