Inspiration: Little Red Wagon #517 (Pumpkin Party)
I have some fall papers put aside to work into my project, and the Celebrate Autumn papers were some of them. They inspired the coloring of my little girl, using my Albrecht-Dürer watercolor pencils. Now that I look at the card, I should probably have given her a yellow coat instead of an orange one because there's a lot of orange on that card overall. I used the Postage Stamps dies for the background paper and for the sentiment, which reads "My dear friend." I used the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon because the touch of linen went well with the fall papers.
I added Crystal Drops here and there to decorate the card a bit and I struggled with my bottles of products. I have read that the product can thicken over time, which is what happened to my drops and they create little "ice cream cone" shapes that won't flatten out. A YouTuber suggested adding a few drops of distilled water in your bottles to get them back to the desired consistency. I've tried that, we'll see if they work out better afterwards. The problem is that you have to do it ahead of time and let it sit. I tried shaking the bottle and using the red drops right away and the liquid was still sitting on top of the bottle despite my shaking so it make a splattery mess. I dabbed and wiped the product away but it left a stain around the new drops I remade. Live and learn...
I wasn't sure how I felt about this card when I finished it, I wasn't even sure I liked it enough to share. But when I came back to it the next day, it didn't seem as bad. It's still not my favorite, but not the worst I've ever made either.
