Inspiration: Inspired By #87 + Page Maps September 2019 sketch
When I saw the typewriter in the inspiration picture, it nudged me to get the pictures of my niece trying out my typewriter printed and added on a page. She was intrigued by my typewriter and since she had started to learn how to spell, she typed all of the words that she knew on a sheet of paper. My mom was a secretary so back in the days, we had a typewriter at home (an electric one - it was olive green) and I loved spending time on that thing, typing my little heart out. Seeing my niece on my typewriter had a nice full-circle feel to it.
A while ago, I had purchased the Vintage Type Doodle-pop and kept it aside to use on a special project. It became the starting point of this page and I picked the papers based on the Doodle-pop so it would match. I picked the Hello collection from Doodlebug, which had a hint of matching soft yellow in it. This collection also had a typewriter image in the stickers, a beautiful one with gold-foil detailing on it, but I decided to stick to the Doodle-pop and I used the little envelope with the hello note as the second image as it felt like using a second typewriter might be overkill.
The title was created with the Joyful Day puffy alphabet stickers from Pink Fresh. Aren't those beautiful? I love the font and colors and it went with the Doodlebug papers beautifully. I added my journaling on a tag and I created a pocket underneath the picture to slide it in. I used foam tape to raise the picture up and created a U shape to leave just enough room for the tag to slide in.
