Inspiration: Lawn Fawnatics #60 + ColourQ #244
I had this idea of a long tall card with a little scene showcasing a gnome from Lawn Fawn's Oh Gnome! stamp, where I would use those words in the speech bubble and add "I forgot your birthday" with stamps or die-cuts underneath. Since I a pretty clear idea of what I wanted to do, the first half of the card took form quickly. Then, I played around with options for the sentiment and to fill in the bottom, which is what took the longest.
I initially tried adding a row of flowers at the bottom, but it looked way too crowded. Since I had all of those flowers colored and die-cut, I decided to snip them apart and do individual flowers instead, which looked infinitely better. I also added a little gift in the gnome's hand to stay with the theme.
The sky was created out of white cardstock and I blended some Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink with a blender brush to get the sky's gradient. I used the Simple Puffy Clouds dies on vellum and added the Smple Puffy Cloud Frames around with white cardstock for a soft look. Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink was also applied to the grass with a blender brush to add definition and depth.
