Inspiration: CAS Colors and Sketches #324
The soft colors were perfect for a beach scene with the Beach Bunnies set. I've been eyeing this one for a long time and I finally had the chance to get it. The bunnies are adorable, and so are those two beach houses.
Since I already had the yellow for the beach and the aqua Party for the water, I decided to do a soft pink sky, using the Cloud stencil and a blender brush, with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink. The water and sand felt a little bare, so I pulled out the Timeless Textures stamp set and added some splattered dots to the sand, before adding speckles with a brown marker and a spritzing tool. I also used another stamp from the same set and Craft Whisper White ink to add foam to the edge of the beach and the water. I really like how this detail gave life to the scene. Some tiny sequins and beads were added to the beach for texture and I added a sentiment strip from the Snarky Small Talk stickers from Tim Holtz. It reads, "I need a six-month vacation twice a year."
