Inspiration: MFT Sketch #435
Once I was done with my scrapbook page, I kept going on a card using the remaining paper scraps. I initially picked some cute chicks from MFT and started coloring them with pencils and Gamsol, but I soon realized that it would be a lot of yellow and that the pencil color diluted with Gamsol would be too pale next to the saturated papers, so I switched gears and got the Happy Hippos stamp set out along with my Copic markers. I like the result much better. It's probably because the papers combine some of my favorite colors together, but this card makes me instantly happy.
I wasn't sure what to add as a sentiment and I finally decided to reach for the Speech Bubbles dies and use the little Thanks that is right in there. It's hard to tell because the circles are quite tight together, but the back is filled with the Chevron Stripes. Ideally, I would have used a slightly smaller circle in the center for the hippo but I wanted to use the Wonky Stitched Circles dies and I was limited on size options, so the chevron is not that visible.
