Inspiration: Mojo Monday #502 + Simon Says Stamp Monday (Add Something Metallic)
Just playing with some of my summer supplies and catching up on past Mojo Monday I've missed playing with. This Rosie and Bernie stamp from Stamping Bella is one of my favorite images from them. How can you not love the coolness and attitude they both exude? Plus, it's really fun to color. It's fairly quick if you keep Bernie as a white unicorn and Rosie's hair is already black, so this is actually very quick to fill in.
I found my You Are Here! papers from Simple Stories and as I was putting together the card, I was reminded why I've enjoyed scrapping with those papers in the past. The soft colours are just yummy and very easy to creat with. They worked perfectly for this card as well. I'm loving the result.
By the way, I fully intended to follow the sketch and have the main image in a circle, surrounded by tropical foliage, but when I tested out which circle die I needed to have my full image, it was WAY too big for the card. So I switched to a matted square instead and even then, you'll notice that I had to handcut the horn and let it hang outside the frame for the image to work. It doesn't look like it, but it's quite big! The foliage would have made the card too crowded, so I switched gear and did a little stamp at the top instead. Necessity is the mother of invention, right?
