Inspiration: Inspired By #66 + Fab Friday #159
I really wanted to pull out the Scalloped Treat Box Spring House Add-On dies and make and Easter Bunny house with it. The colours from the Fab Friday challenge were perfect for it, and I picked the Spiffy Speckles paper in purple for the box (which is great to create that house texture). I also used those papers to die-cut little Easter eggs, in order to get the speckles on them.
I had the fabulous woodgrain cardstock to make my embellishments for the house, so I was able to use the kraft cardstock for the door and the white cardstock for the fence, The texture really adds impact. I used the new Mini Easter Eggs dies to create an egg-shaped tag. I also challenged myself to include every single die from the Spring House Add-on set.
I used the window dies that make openings and lined them with acetate. This would help contain the candy if I were to fill the box with treats and you'd get a glimpse of it as well. But having the light come through the house (since I have windows on both sides and they are lining up) is really adding an element of interest to the house and have it feel more airy. I think it turned out pretty cute. I might not give this one away and add it to my growing village instead.
